Spinning Prairie

This page highlights The 2005 Centennial Commissions Project. Spinning Prairie is a kinetic wind sculpture with a fan assembly measuring 20' in diameter. The design was fabricated in partnership with Ross Machine Shop in Regina. This sculpture symbolises Estevan's position as an progressive energy producing community. The spiralling backbone references the geological prehistory while the western red lily at the centre echoes the resilient nature of Saskatchewan people. Spinning Prairie is a monument to the phases and stages, circles and cycles that shape our province.
